Arulmigu Palaniandavar Arts College for Women, established in the year 1970 is run by the Department of Hindu and Religious and Charitable Endowment, Goverment of Tamilnadu. It has the objective of rendering education to women students hailing from rural milieu. It has made impressive strides in improving education of girl students by offering 16 UG courses, 12 PG courses, 4 M.Phil and 2 Ph.D  Research Centers.
