FROM CO-ORDINATOR’S DESK
Greetings! The
Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) has been established in Arulmigu
Palaniandavar Arts College for Women, Palani in 2004 and since its inception it
has been an integral part of the college, working towards realizing the goals
of quality enhancement. It strives to develop a system for conscious,
consistent and catalytic improvement in different aspects of functioning of the
college. Having
crossed through three cycles of accreditation process by NAAC, the IQAC knows
its responsibility in adopting the innovative strategies in teaching, learning,
evaluation and fine tuning of the administrative processes. It organizes
orientation programmes for faculties, non-teaching and administrative staff
members and extends support for organizing various academic activities. It
facilitates documentation of the activities conducted by the departments.
Assurance is given to the stakeholders of the accountability and transparency
in the quality management system of the institution. A
continuous follow up has been made on infrastructural resources of the college
to assure adequate, appropriate and better facilities and provide conducive and
enabling environment for teaching, learning and research. The Cell interacts
with the Student Council, Parent’s Committee and Alumni Association and
receives feedback to be used in planning its strategies and maintaining
transparency, objectivity and accountability in the teaching-learning
evaluation processes. NAAC
through its processes of accreditation is setting the road map for every
institution to tread the path for pursuit of excellence. Following the map, the
college has been taking strategic strides to become a leading institution by
imparting quality education to the rural women, hailing from the villages in
and around the Palani town.
